School Visit and STEM Exchange with Singapore International School
To enhance the promotion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematcs) education and facilitate professional exchange among teaching staff, principals and teachers from 13 TWGHs primary schools visited Singapore International School (SIS) on 21 March 2017. They observed mathematics and science subjects being taught at SIS, then joined an open discussion with their counterparts.
Subsequently, 50 Primary 4 to Primary 6 students from 10 TWGHs primary schools participated in the “Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival” at SIS on 1 April 2017. The Festival encouraged students to think logically and creatively, as well as apply their knowledge and skills to solve various mathematics problems. Students gained fun, valuable experience, knowledge and skills in the event.
